Meet the Team

  • Certified Nutrition Specialist (CNS)

Danielle began her journey into Functional Medicine in 2016 after her husband was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. After he was passed around to a few neurologists and other specialists and not getting to the root cause of how his disease manifested, Danielle decided to hit the books again. Already having one Master’s degree, Danielle decided to pivot and get her Master’s in Science in Human Clinical Nutrition and Integrative Health. Danielle’s love of learning pairs well with the infinite array of information inside the field of integrative health.

Since her husband’s diagnosis in 2016, Danielle has been deep in the world of Functional Medicine. She says the first book she picked up after the diagnosis was Wahls’ Protocol and Deep Nutrition and she never looked back. Danielle received her Master’s of Science from the Maryland University of Integrative Health. At MUIH, she learned her love for nutritional biochemistry, physiology, pathophysiology, and the science of behavior change and positive psychology. Danielle plans on continuing her education and becoming a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner in 2023. Danielle started “The Source” in 2022 along with her husband. She explained the mission statement as follows, “I am on a mission to empower you with the knowledge and skills to nourish your whole person because we believe that a nourished mind, body, and spirit are essential ingredients to a prescription for optimal health.” Danielle currently specializes in gut permeability, navigating autoimmunity with nutrition, metabolic syndrome, type II diabetes, and sports nutrition.

  • Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC)

Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC)

In 2016, I was diagnosed with Relapsing-Remitting Multiple Sclerosis (RRMS). After seeing multiple neurologists and not getting any of my questions answered, I started to feel hopeless and most of all disappointed in the current medical care process that consists of diagnosing and medicating. I knew there had to be a better alternative to our current healthcare model.

I took my health into my own hands and started educating myself as much as I could. That fall, I discovered the world of Functional Medicine and Nutrition and how modifiable lifestyle and environmental factors can really impact how we are manifesting disease. I did everything I could. I read a ton of books, I cleaned up my gut, I removed stressors in my life, I picked up healthy habits like eating clean, intermittent fasting, regular exercise, meditation, and breath work, and I even received my 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training certificate.

I did anything in my power to bring my health and wellness back into balance.

After realizing the power of Functional Medicine, I became a Certified Functional Medicine Health Coach in 2022, and a Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach in 2023. I learned the power of Motivational Interviewing, Positive psychology, and the tools and language of Functional Medicine.

Together with my life experience of overcoming disease and my education in Functional Medicine. I enjoy working with my clients to help them co-create smart goals that help them achieve their optimal vision of health and wellness.

We understand what works for one client may not work for the other and that each client has their own unique bio-individuality. Here at The Source, we know that “Every Body is Different” and we take a client-centered personalized healthcare approach with every client to help them achieve optimal health and wellness.
